Financial Integrity and Effectiveness
Governance and Oversight
-- The Partnership for a Drug-Free America holds itself to the highest not-for-profit standards. The Partnership also adheres to charity management and fundraising standards issued by the Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance. Our volunteer board of directors is active and independent, and provides adequate oversight over the Partnership's operations and its staff.
Measuring Effectiveness
-- The Partnership regularly assesses its effectiveness in achieving its mission. Since our inception, every donated dollar spent in developing our messages have been leveraged into $50 of media exposure--time and space. Millions of teens and their parents see and hear our messages every day. Independent studies consistently show a clear and direct correlation between exposure to Partnership messages and positive changes in teen attitudes and behavior.
Donor Funds
-- The Partnership spends donor funds honestly, prudently and in accordance with statements made in donor fundraising appeals. The majority of the Partnership's funds (80%) are used in the development and implementation of prevention, intervention and treatment initiatives. The balance (20%) is utilized for fundraising, management, general and administrative services.
